Three Ways Perseus is a Hero
A hero in mythology and legend is a man, often of divine ancestry, who is endowed with great courage and strength, celebrated for his bold exploits, and favored by the gods. Greek mythology tells numerous stories of ancient heroes, but the story of Perseus is one that stands out for his many human characteristics that allowed him to achieve many goals and defeat obstacles along the way. Through this Greek tale it is shown that Perseus possesses kindness, courage, and luck which help him to defeat the Gorgon Medusa. Throughout this paper one will learn the many reasons that Perseus is considered one of the great heroes in Greek mythology. Compassion and consideration for others is what helps Perseus through his adventures and enables himself to save the lives of many others.
Perseus displayed the characteristic of kindness and his heart took over his actions when he found a lovely maiden that had been given up to be devoured by a horrible sea serpent.
