Jane is a respected woman with whom everyone can find a bit of himself or herself in. ... Jane Eyre is a heroine who refuses to blend into the traditional female position of subservience and who stands up for her beliefs. Through the duration of the novel, Jane demonstrates her "self-love" that is often an influential emotion leading to drastic and hasty reactions. This leads Jane on her way to turning into the woman she dreams of becoming.
