The Defination of Fantasy Literature
Fantasy is a genre of fiction, which includes novels, short-story, role playing games, and movies. Some people think fantasy is just a story that departs from reality and deals with magic and supernatural. However, these are just parts of fantasy. Fantasy is also a story that is used to illustrate reality and is designed to stir readers wonder.
In this essay, I will define fantasy literature.
According to Hume (cited in Sullivan III), fantasy " is any departure from consensus reality". In fantasy literature, characters, actions and settings and plots are not restricted by reality . ... Fantasy can take place in a real world or an unreal world.
