ut enough of that, what I actually wanted to write about is the way of living of the Navajos, their customs and their way of thinking, which differs very much from our point of view. The Navajos are a tribe that is located in the middle of the Arizonan and New Mexican desert where almost none natural resources are to be find, or better, none of those that the Navajos are used to cope with. ... This is the reason why most of the Navajos do not practice their traditional rituals that were handed down from generation to generation. ... There were about five Navajos at Barry Goldwater High School and not one of them stood among the white students. They cut themselves off the crowd to not be victims of segregation and hate which many of the American students feel for the Navajos. ... Many of those teachers do not know how to interact with the local Navajos and it seems like that the staff of those schools is not trying to teach the students, but educating them and pushing the students in being a general American. ... The scientists are certain that the Navajos immigrated from the north many hundred years ago. ... It had four corners, and over these four corners appeared four cloud columns which were white, blue, yellow and black (the four colors of the Navajos) …

other beautiful desert plants to grow all year but the unfortunate north and the even poorer Navajo Nation is not able to irrigate its landscape just for making it more gorgeous to look at. ...

Navajos and their views on other races

hey don’t like whites much in the Navajo Nation. ... The Navajos don’t want to see you as a friendly German who is seeking some information about their customs. ... Many of the Navajos don’t see a purpose in being interested in other religions and cultures. ... The US government should make it easier for the Navajos, or the Native Americans in general, to live outside the reservations. ...
