Lies of silence by Brian Moore Date of publication: First published by Bloomsbury in 1990. The author : He is a famous writer.He was born in Belfast on the 25th of August 1921 and educated in Northern Ireland .He emigrated to Canada in 1948 and began working for a Montreal newspaper and publishing some pulp novels and short stories.His first major novel, Judith Hearne(1955), was widely acclaimed and was later adapted for the screen as The lonely passion of Judith Hearne. Following the success of his first novel, Moore moved to the USA ( New York) in 1959 and then to California (Malibu).He won many prestigious awards both in Europe and North America, among them the Quebec Literary Prize for the Feast of Lupercal and the Sunday Express 1987 Book of the Year Award for The color of Blood.
