As educational attainment is a key idea, it is important that I specify how I will define it; the number of pass grades or fails a student has obtained in external examinations such as GCSEs. When scrutinising gender and levels of academic attainment, it is apparent that girls have been outperforming boys in GCSEs over the past ten years. ...
