The story of Perseus begins with his grandfather King Acrisius, the king of Argos. ... She as plans has a son and names him, Perseus. ... He noticed the beauty of Danae, so he decided to ask her to marry her, but he first had to get Perseus out of the island. ... He tells this to Perseus thinking that he would never be able to accomplish such a task and that he would end up dying. So on the day of his party Perseus does not have a gift for Polydectes, he then announces that he will go capture the head of one f the Gorgons. So right away Perseus leaves and sets sail for his journey. On his way there he encounters Hermes, the messenger god, Hermes gives Perseus a sword that can never be broken.
