Amarcia Wilson ENGL 1010 113 February 20,2003 Writing # 2 High school teacher prepared to teach for survival in higher learning In this day and age the Memphis and Shelby County school system have only few good teacher, but on the other hand you have teacher who are adequately prepared to help students to survival in institution of higher learning by begin Dedicated, Supportive, and Loving toward their students. Begin dedicated plays a big part in the lives of teacher and children. In this day and age you have more teacher who are more dedicated and care more about the well being of children then their own parents do. For example, when I was in high school my 9 grade English teacher believed in putting her students first. Every morning she comes into class and had donuts for everybody to eat. For those who didn’t get a chance to eat before they left home because “She always say no one can learn on an empty stomach” In the school system today you have dedicated teacher that don’t mind getting to school early to answer last minute questions. School started at 7:15 and Miss. Frost would be there at 6:30 in her classroom waiting for someone to come in to get help with their homework or just to talk because that was the kind of teacher she was there and ready to go with whatever the day brings, Also there are teacher in the school system that are the same way today and willing to go the extra mile to help students to succeed, and become a better person.
