About 3.2 Million years ago the evolution of man began. The human being went trough many miraculious changes in the long period of time it took to evolve to what we have become today. Its hard to believe that our ancestors from which we derived from used to eat bugs and couldnt even form words at one time. Modern Man went through 6 unique and amazeing changes will amaze you as they did me when I first learned about human evolution. Little is known about our ancestors, we only have small bits and peices of how they lived and evolved, many of the things we have found out are meer theories meaning we have evidence of them but cannot acctually prove the theory a fact. What we do know is that their were six changes that lead us to what we refer to today as human. The first human form was the Australophethicus afarenisis which is believed to have appeared 3 to 3.9 Million years ago. The Australopethicus ate primarily fruit, leaves, termites, bird eggs, and roots, and looked more like what we refer to as an ape then it resembled a present day human. Males were approximently 5 Feet tall and females a shorter 3 feet 6 inches. They were believed to live in groups of about 10 and just like modern day apes and other species had an Alpha Male that lead the group. They lived mainly in wooded areas and had a primitive way of communication that involved facial gestures and hand movements. Fossils of these ancient ancestors were found in Ethipoia and Tanzania which leaves a large margin of discovery to the true habitat and land this species of human occupied. The most famous of these form of human was Lucy discovered in 1974 in Ethipoia by Donald Johanson and Tom Gray. Lucy was a female around the age of 25 when she died leading scientists to believe that our ancestors didnt live as long as modern day man. Only about 40 percent of her skull was found intact. Nearly 1 to 2.5 Million years ago the Human evolved again into the species classified as the Paranthropus boisei.
