You're Fired

You’re Fired!! Though The Apprentice has become one of prime time TV’s most watched show, its morals and views are not of high quality and are extremely questionable. Consequently, the values and behaviors portrayed on this show conflict immensely with what we have been taught in college. The shows success goes beyond its ‘story line’, which is a group of various people from around America with high qualifications ‘fighting’ for a top position in the empire of Donald Trump, - one of Businesses top moguls. The motive of the show is to show these groups compete in various business tasks after which, there will be a sole winner who will win this top position from Trump. This show sounds like a tame and serious reality TV show as compared to others such as The Bachelor, which can be classified as un-serious and as merely entertainment. However, watching the show will make someone realize that it really is not far from these other reality shows. The people on the show are encouraged to be ruthless and have no regard for their teammates. In the first season of the show one of the characters Omarosa was known for backstabbing her teammates and was heard saying the phase ‘trust no one’. It is safe to say that her morals were forgotten. Ethically we are taught even from the beginning of socialization that we are all here to help each other succeed and lift each other up.
