Jonathan Livingston Seagull
Jonathan Livingston Seagull, a novel by Richard Bach, is the uplifting tale of a young seagull that is outcast by his flock, just for wanting to master the art of flight. The book takes place at the beach (imagine that), where young Jonathan Seagull first learns to fly. As the book progresses, more characters are introduced and Jonathan develops more skills as he tries to fulfill his dreams, while dealing with all the heartaches that come along with it.
At the very beginning of the book, Jonathan takes off on his first flight. ... The flock doesn’t approve of Jonathan’s learning to fly at all and with every flock member present, he is banished to the Far Cliffs, were he must spend the rest of his years. Jonathan continued to develop his flying skills and soon he was looking like a pro.
