Jarvis Lorry- An elderly man who works at Tellsons Bank who reunites Lucie with her father, Dr. Manette, in France. Lucie Manette- The daughter of Dr. Manette, and a young French woman who grew up in England. She was raised as a ward, someone under special care, of Tellson's Bank when her parents were assumed dead. This character is viewed by her compassion and love. Lucie binds the other characters in the story together. Dickens also uses Lucie to foreshadow many events as well, such as the footsteps. The Vengeance- A woman who Dickens makes look like a leader type person. She is a revolutionary rebelling against the aristocrats. She is implied as a respected person. Jerry Cruncher- A grave digger who sells dead bodies organs to scientist, but also works at Tellsons Bank. He also helps Mr. Lorry by running simple tasks and as a messenger. He has a wife and he hates it when she prays. She doesn’t know about his other secret job of being a gravedigger, and neither does young jerry, his son, until the middle of the book. Young Jerry- Young Jerry loves his father very much and has a lot of trust in him, until he finds out his other occupation and is very feared by it.
