Non-party organization w. political objectives D1: Public organizations: Trade unions, consumer groups, professional associations. United not by ideology, but by some common feature of their members’ situation. D2: Pressure Groups (single issue groups) D3: Terrorist organizations: Actively seek media coverage. Works outside of the constitutional process to achieve their goals. 2. The audience A: Targets are roughly separated in 2. Narrow & Broad. B: Pc is intended to achieve a positive effect on the recipient. 3. The media A: Crucial, Political actors must use the media to have their message communicated to the audiences. B: Value judgemental, biased, subjective and laden.
