First Set of Questions: The Breakfast Club 1. There were 5 different groups of adolescents represented by each person in detention. Molly Ringwold, known as Claire Standish in the movie, is the Prom queen, or the princess. Her parents are rich, so she basically had everything she wanted, including real diamond earrings. The second group, represented by Emilio Estevez, was the jocks. His character name was Andrew Clark. He was constantly trying to impress his peers with his masculine demeanor. There was the basket case, the outcast, Allison Reynolds, played by Alley Sheedy. She was quiet and withdrawn, but when she did talk, she would say insane things, things that "normal" people wouldn't say. There was the brain, Brian Johnson, played by Anthony Michael Hall. He had straight A's and was in several different extra curricular activities. The final character was the stoner/criminal, John Bender, played by Judd Nelson. He was rebellious, rousing up trouble throughout the entire morning. 2. There were several different peer groups. First, the princess, or Claire, would only talk to the jock, or Andrew. They were the popular teens. Everyone looked up to them and admired them. All the unpopular teens wanted to be like them, or at least associate with them. Brian and Allison were part of the outcast group. They had been labeled brains, or losers, or freaks, because they were different, because they didn't play sports or weren't rich and homecoming queen. Finally, Bender was in the anti-school, rebellious group.
