The American College Test and the Scholastic Aptitude Test also known as the ACT and the SAT, are regarded highly when colleges decide who will best be prepared for their institution. There are gender differences that accommodate for the largest variation of test scores on the ACT and SAT. According to the authors of a 2002 article entitled “Fair Test” state that the average male receives a 1041 on his SAT, while the average female receives only a 1002. According to a 2001 article entitled “Gender differences on the Scholastic Aptitude Test, the American College Test and College Grades” state that the average ACT score for men is 22. ... Although the ACT and SAT are supposed to predict academic performance of students during their freshman year of college, studies show that this prediction is inaccurate. ...
