English 101
CAN PRIDE DO WONDERS? ... Now, ever since I was a little girl I’ve been “stuck up” or “full of pride” as many of the kids who grow up with me called it. ... She told me that what I did was wrong and that I should apologize to the girl and take her home immediately but I refused because that would mean admitting I have failed and it would mean I was wrong in trying to help this child (and this kind of proved that the kids always saying I’m full of pride was a justifiable assumption). ... But I wanted to prove to these people that for once I had the opportunity to be different and that I could let down my shield of pride once in a while but I was really scared and was defiantly not ready for that kind of embarrassment. ... I guess all this happened for a reason but at least I gained an old friend back and learned that pride can do wonders. And that it (pride) can be good or bad but it’ll always be part of you for the rest of your life.
