California Framework – 10th grade Social Science
It would be impossible to integrate all of history into one year of study. Even the concept of titling a one year course “World History” is arrogant and sets up an impossible standard. Within the time limits (one school year) the California framework established for 10th grade World History is a great start. However, after a brief review of content and objectives it may be better named “History of Western Civilization.”
