The Snob bt Morley Callaghan
Marc Antony’s loyalty toward Caesar is first exhibited when he weeps over his friend’s cold and blood stained corpse. Marc Antony declares he will seek vengeance on the conspirators who killed Caesar. After Antony says, “And Caesar’s spirit, ranging for revenge, with Ate by his side come hot from hell, shall in these confines with a monarch’s voice cry ‘Havoc!’ and let slip the dogs of war,” (III, I, 270-273) he declares his desire to go to war to gain revenge on Caesar’s assassins so Caesar’s spirit could rest in peace.
