Perception is an amazing concept. Perception powers over everything, all other definitions bend to its command. It is the world that is held only in the mind of an individual. I am but a figure of clay molded by the minds of many including myself. I am lucky in this artistic endeavor for I can see the small details that are invisible to all others, the ones that make me more than a simple figure of humanity, the ones that define my every vein, my every freckle, my every scar. My hands. They seem to have an existence all their own. Often when I am billowing music with the breath of my soul through my saxophone my hands will take over, leaving my tongue in wonder of their execution.
