How do sacred texts guide or rule the lives of believers? There are many different religions all over the world, which rule many people’s lives. It usually affects their clothes, food, what they need to do each day, learning, their way of living and who they believe in. Jewish people that read the Torah will have to follow certain laws about which food they eat called the Kosher Laws. These laws in the Torah tell you what you can and can’t eat, for example they can’t eat pig because its considered unclean. If you are a Muslim and red the Qur’an you have whilst reading it, these are, it’s never to be placed on the floor, don’t eat or drink whilst reading it, they have to wash before reading it, it must always be placed on the highest shelf and it must be covered when to in use.
