Medicinal Marijuana Amendment
Marijuana was made federally illegal to grow, sell, buy or possess in the US in 1937 by the Marihuana Tax Act. ... There needs to be an amendment added to the United States constitution that repeals the unjust legality of medicinal marijuana because the benefits of this marijuana outweigh any side affects it may have.

In 1988, DEA administrative-law judge Francis Young recommended shifting marijuana to Schedule II on the grounds that it was safe and had a "currently accepted medical use in treatment"(5). Specifically, Judge Young found that "marijuana, in its natural form, is one of the safest therapeutically active substances known to man. ... a smoker would theoretically have to consume nearly 1500 pounds of marijuana within about fifteen minutes to induce a lethal response” (6). Additionally, according to the Federal Bureau of Mortality and NIDA,” There have been no deaths from the use of marijuana.
