FEMINISM by Marlon Vasquez We can conclude that the existence of discrimination has been proved in a number of areas. This primarily applies to family (discrimination in family was highlighted by the responses to several scales). It could be stated in general, that the existence of discrimination is not adequately realized or experienced. This is reveled by the fact that when asked directly about discrimination women say that they do not feel themselves oppressed. Another example is that men do not think something needs to be improved in family life. However, the named results contradict the following data: both genders think that a woman cannot adequately realize her potential, that Georgia lags behind all the countries in terms of women’s position, that women’s situation needs to be improved. Besides, both men and women point to a clearly manifested sexism of the society, the existence of which already implies discrimination.
