I cannot read what will happen in the future in regard to the homogenization of all cultural difference. I am passionate about the idea though that we will be able to maintain our cultural differences and that global media will be a tool people use to come together and learn, accept and experience different ways of life. An ideal outlook on the world, not globally possible without media communications.
I will first briefly discuss my personal insight into the question ‘Will global media lead to the homogenization of all cultural difference’. I will then emphasize the necessity for global media in order to maintain cultural connections. Thus illustrating that global media and its possible homogenizing effects on cultures is not entirely possible because within cultures are sub-cultures, gender differences, age demographics, personal preferences and above all cultural values and moral pride. People are not mere objects of cultural influences, but subjects who can sift various influences and reject or integrate them (M. ... To say we will all become the same in terms of culture is to say we will all see the same, that we will decipher messages the same and think the same, which has never been the way humanity functions.
