(Negative) Letter to B&N

To Whom It May Concern, On December 20, 2002, I received a faulty paperback replacement of ISBN 0-684-84441-9 The Clash of Civilizations and the Remaking of World Order, by Samuel P. Huntington. While perusing through the Sycamore Plaza Barne & Nobles, I came across printing flaws within the display copies of the aforementioned book and a paperback edition I had bought three hours before. After revealing these scarred and damaged books’ faults to nearby staff and offered a new copy, I was charged retail price, $15, for the replacement. Making the best of a bad situation, I took the book and returned home to show the books to friends and family, who were as shocked as I was that the book was even more flawed than the display copies.
