The jury room, filled with 12 men, of different religions, ethnic backgrounds and temperaments had to decide if the 16 year old boy was guilty beyond reasonable doubt of stabbing his father to death, and I was unfortunately one of them. ...
After the vote every one of the men were eager to convince me of how wrong I was, but I’m not easily persuaded. ... I asked for the other men’s opinions but they had swallowed the evidence hook line and sinker, maybe it was all just in my head? ... I know that this evidence couldn’t have exactly proven that he was not guilty but it should have made the other men query the rest of the evidence.
