One of the reasons it is disrespectful to throw a piece of paper or anything across the room is because it shows I am not paying attention to the information and teaching that is being presented to me. ... Another reason that it is disrespectful to throw a piece of paper across a room is because it is not keeping the classroom clean. ... One final reason that I can see as a major point of disrespect in the act of throwing a piece of paper is that it distracts other students from getting the work done that needs to be completed. Throwing the paper took a valuable minute out of the classroom time, which is completely unacceptable. There are many other disrespectful aspects to the action of throwing a piece of paper across a classroom; however, I could go on and on about the insolence and ignorance that was involved in my actions.
