	Kelsey Daniels Period 6 09/30/03 U. S. History 1400-1600 Why? That's the main question that comes to mind when I think about this time period. Why didn't the Spanish hire (and when I say hire I mean pay the person for their work) people from Spain to work instead of taking away people's rights and dignity? Why the Catholic Church lie and say that the only way you can get to heaven is by "donating" (and I use that term loosely) to the church. And why did the Spain want more riches. I will try to answer these questions and more. It is my opinion that greed played a major roles in all of their motives. And, if you continue reading you may feel the same.
