She was wise, beautiful, the daughter of Icarius of Sparta, and a cousin to Helen of Troy. Penelope was her name. She was a very loyal wife, and an understanding mother. Even when she hadn't seen her husband Odysseus, or even heard from him in over twenty years, but her loyalty was strong. In the last four years of her husbands departure, confined in beauty and wealth she attracted over a hundred suitors, of whom were pestering her to forget the love of her dear husband and marry once more. She had a son with Odysseus, Telemachus who was merely a child when his father left, and was no longer a child but now yet a man. Her situation was one of the acquired yet she did manage to survive it and was still a loyal wife in the end.
