Health related fitness Aerobic capacity: the maximum amount of oxygen that can be taken in and used by the body in one minute. In golf aerobic capacity is not significantly important. As golf only involves light aerobic exercise, the performer does not have to have good aerobic capacity. The performer must have good endurance thou, so they are able to sustain from reaching fatigue, because e a round of golf can last up to two hours. Strength: the ability of a muscle to withstand a force. Strength does not play a major part in a golf performance. There is only a limited amount of muscular strength need when performing a golf shot. It is slightly important when the performer wants to play a more explosive shot. This is where some muscular strength is required Flexibility; the range of movement possible around a joint. This is important when playing golf. Flexibility is needed when the performer swings. The maximum mobility around joints must be possible because the performer must be able to swing the club in a ark motion around the body. Body composition: The whole of the body measured by the percentage of weight ratio of one part to another (body fat to lean muscle mass, ect.). it is important in golf for the top performers to have good body composition. Top performers must have a relative, high lean muscle mass compered to body fat.
