- The leveler can be seen as a scientific perspective. To the fairies it was something “new”, in another words, new technology. - This shows economical perspective. Some people for example, might not like deforestation but they need money. Over timework will let them have more money; therefore this encourages them to do such activities. - Fairies can be considered as “Pure Nature” in a way. This shows environmental perspective. Nature doesn’t want any outer interference and if it happens it cannot fully function. Same situation as going on in the movie. Part B. By looking at the present situation of the world we can see that it’s the scientific knowledge and theories that drive some to defend or oppose deforestation. “We do depend on machines but they are the cause of human death themselves. Because of the smoke machines (industry, leveler) produce, the radiation and the destruction that emerge from them is a great danger to humanity and forests are the last hope which can prevent human from disaster by controlling the green house effect, and the global warming.” These words show that why some people and organizations are against deforestation. “Scientific knowledge is increasing day by day and because of that, human dependence is mostly on machines. Machines also provide people money. This makes machines something that humans cant live without. Therefore humans rely on machines nowadays more than they rely on the forests” These words will emerge from a person who is not against the deforestation. We can see that dependence on machines and the economical power are two major perspectives that are taking humans to a new era.
