MacbetH EssaY!
“Macbeth was completely responsible for his own downfall”, is the question I will be arguing against in my essay. I will answer it with evidence from the book Macbeth and use quotes to support my arguments.
The topic question implies that Macbeth caused his own downfall solely by himself. ... They foretold a prophecy involving Macbeth’s future. “All hail Macbeth, Thane of Glamis, Thane of Cawdor and King hereafter. ... ” This prophecy first gave Macbeth the idea of taking the throne from King Duncan.
The next person he met that had a significant impact on his decision was his wife, Lady Macbeth, who argued strongly against his conscience and thoughts of right and wrong, that he should kill King Duncan.
