Oliver Cromwell was a strong, intelligent man who was able to single handedly led an army and brought about the execution of the King. Oliver, in the beginning, was posed with the question of whether to leave for America where he could have a better life for himself and his family, or to stay in England and fight for what he believed was best for his countrymen. Oliver, knowing that he would be better off in America, decided to stay and fight for his beliefs and the people who supported him. Each time Cromwell was challenged in anyway he always stepped up and never coward. ... During battle Cromwell did not sit back and watch as his men fought. ... Cromwell on the other hand had strong beliefs and knew that if he wanted something done right, the way he wanted, he was going to have to get in there, be strong and do it himself.
