Yet most of us consider love as something central to our existance, therefore making it a universal theme. Although love is very important throughout the world, it doesnt always end up the want we want or expect. Romantic love is probably the most recognized form although there are others of equal importance such as that between a mother and her child. Love is a very important theme in Les Miserables by Victor Hugo, because its something most people can relate to and its a common topic in everyday life.
