Narrative Essay Assignment September 11, 2001 started out as an ordinary day, but it quickly turned into a day that will never be forgotten. The United States suffered with the biggest shock of its history, a terrorist attack. Two years later, I still remember the feelings that overcame my body as if it happened yesterday. I was a senior in high school and had attended school that morning. I had left school early because I only had one class that day. I was unaware of what took place until I got home and the phone rang. My mom called me from work and told me to turn on the television because there was a terrorist attack in New York. At this very moment, I had learned that a plane had struck the World Trade Center. I was overcome with disbelief as I watched the television. Just then, a second plane hit the Twin Towers.
