Art – An Expression of Life
“Some contemporary modes of art leave viewers suspicious of the artist’s ability to make quality art. This raises the debate whether contemporary art = declining art standards.”
Creation that allows for interpretation of any kind is art. The interpretation of art depends on the individual’s experiences, thoughts, culture, and associations. Art can have so many different definitions and examples that there cannot possibly be an ideal way to achieve “quality art”, as it is something that continues to develop as the viewer sees it. Art is a creation that allows the viewer liberty to interpret the subject in whatever way they wish, whether it is the person who created the artwork or the person who is viewing it. This essay will attempt to prove that contemporary art does not signify the decline in art standards, as art is an expression of life and emotions; no art is perfection.
Art allows a person’s experiences to be intelligible and recognized within the thoughts and emotions of the world. ... The artist’s message here may be different things for different people, but in most cases it could be assumed that the artist wants the viewers to relate themselves to the art.
