Keep It Up I was flipping through the pages of one of my favorite magazines, Stuff, trying to think of a topic for this paper, when I found an advertisement that caught my eye. I found this advertisement back in the April 2001 issue of Stuff magazine. I have no idea what it was about when I first saw it, it just had this huge hip cartoon guy who appears to be dancing covering the page with the message, "KEEPITUP.COM," at the bottom. So I’m thinking, what is this advertisement trying to sell to me? The cartoon guy in this advertisement is wearing baggy, wide leg blue pants, has on some shades (or glasses, it’s hard to tell), a 70’s style brown T-shirt, a colorful visor saying, "Gold," on it, and he also has a quite large, black afro. The background was a light purple and the ltter spellings, "KEEPITUP.COM," were outlined in black and filled with orange. Since the advertisement looked like this guy was grooving and telling you, "Keep it up," it absolutely appealed to me. I, for one, love to have fun dancing. An advertisement like this, though, could appeal to just about anyone. It’s a cartoon, and a cool looking one at that. Who doesn’t like cartoons? I’d have to say that young children as well as adults could like this advertisement. But then, maybe older adults wouldn’t take it too seriously.
