If you would have asked me yesterday where I stood in the realm of politics, I could not have given you an honest answer. I know what my parents would want me to say, but as I grow and develop on my own I see that my beliefs and values differ from theirs. Though I have not perused my interests in politics, Sargent has proven to be a helpful guide in assisting me to decipher where I stand politically. An ideology is how people perceive the world through their own values and beliefs. It affects one’s thought processes as well as their actions.
