In “The Lady or the Tiger”, the author gives clues to both
outcomes of the story. Evidence for the tiger coming out is the sentence that says that
there may be “semi-barbarism in [the princess’] nature”. ... Another piece of evidence
that the tiger may have emerged is that the princess personally knew and lady behind the
other door. ... ” and “hated the lady. ... Her hatred of the lady may be suggesting that she is not
willing to let her have the heart of her lover. ...
