Explain the extent to which natural processes have been modified by human action. E.G to what degree, and how much the natural sequence of events have been changed by human activity. Humans have modified the forest to a degree in which has cause the ecosystem to become unbalanced. In this essay I shall explain how the natural processes of leaching, nutrient recycling, ‘Gaia’ process and the hydrological cycle have been affected due to human activity. Firstly, the process of leaching has increased in areas that have been modified by human activity. Leaching is a process in which dissolves the nutrients from the soil in water and moves these nutrients creating an infertile soil layer.
