Language is a very powerful tool for our communication and expression today. Language is the unifying factor between different people and conflicting groups. But language is a power in itself. In this essay I am going to discuss the power language has and language as a power in itself. ... I think that language as power can have a negative effect.
The power of language is that it is the key to understanding a culture. I have experienced that for myself that to understand a culture fully, one must know and understand the language used. ... Language draws you closer to a people group. Another example is when missionaries go to new countries, it is essential that they learn the language otherwise they cannot understand the culture and people as well, and then cant serve as well.
