The Buccaneers is the third book in a trilogy. The first book was The Wreckers, and the second was The Smugglers. All three books involve a young man named John Spencer as he embarks on adventures involving sailing. All three books are amazing stories and will thrill anyone who loves adventure. The best thing about these books is at the end of each and every chapter, it ends with a cliffhanger. There are no bad parts about these books. I would recommend it to boys between the ages of 11 and 14. The Buccaneers was a great book overall. I would probably give it nine out of ten stars. I usually have trouble picking out books to read, I picked out this book easily after reading the first two books. In the second book, The Smugglers, John’s dad buys a ship for the two of them. John’s dad doesn’t sail with him on the first journey, but John meets a very interesting man named Dasher, who joins the crew.
