A Memory Started by a Dream Have you ever had a memory that was a one time deal, and also took a lot of time and effort to achieve it? The memory that I recall the best took me eleven years to reach. It also involved a lot of stress as well as getting my ass chewed a lot. My hard earned, one time memory came my junior year of high school. It was a memory that I had always dreamed about when I was a little kid looking up to the older guys. Yes, I am definitely talking about going to state for football and winning. This memory started on Thanksgiving Day of 2000. Instead of just getting up and going to my aunts house for a good turkey dinner, I got up and went to football practice. It was colder than a well diggers ass in January, but the entire time that we were out on the field not one person complained, because this was something that we have waited our whole lives for. After the two and a half hour practice, I finally got to go eat. This event was obviously the talk of the dinner because this was the first time that anyone in my family had ever gotten to go to state. After that I headed home and went straight to bed. I had to be at the Webb City High School the next morning at 5:30 a.m.
