MLA Formatting of a Paper (Title of Paper) The directions below are sequential steps to setting up a paper for correct MLA formatting (Aaron 376-377). I suggest printing this off and using it as a step-by-step guide. When you are finished, my last step will thrill you. Stop! Do not read the last step now. This would be like starting a book and reading the last page, first! Let’s get started, shall we? 1. Open a new Word document. I suggest you call this document either “MLA Template” or “MLA Boilerplate” and save it to start all future papers. Rather than having to set up formatting for each new paper, you would be able to simply copy the document and rename it! Aren’t shortcuts great? 2. Go to File on toolbar. Select Page Setup.
Approximate Word count = 531 Approximate Pages = 2.1 (250 words per page double spaced)
