... For those of you who have not read the play, “whose life is it anyway?” by Brain Clark; you would probably disagree with those statements.
Euthanasia, by definition, is the practice of mercifully ending a persons life in order to release the person from an incurable disease, intolerable suffering, or undignified death, and is a key theme in the play. Whose life is it anyway is an ironic tale, where doctors and nurses are cast as villains, for fighting to preserve life; and the protagonist proved his sanity by providing a reasonable, logical argument for his right to choose to die. ... Society opposed this issue, very strongly; it was seen as a weakness, because it was as though the person was giving up on their life with out a fight. ... Clark wrote the script, in such a way, so that the responder feels what Ken, the protagonist feels.
