Notes on Paper: www.fair.org -Look at the Extra Article of Inventing Africa…it traces racist representations in the media. -In this particular article, where is the African voice…and where is the Iraqi voice? (i.e. Thousands of children are being killed in Iraq, and the reporter asks Madeline Albright…what she thinks of the issue?) *Native Informants – People that act out the narratives that white people dictate. -There is an unconscious weaving and representation of race and gender in Media. -An example of this is how white people have coined the term ‘person of color’, referring of course to the rest of the world.
