Macbeth is a play written by author William Shakespeare.
In the play, Malcolm in his final speech refers to Macbeth as ‘this dead butcher’ therefore with reference to the text I shall discuss the extent to which it is a fair comment. ... As a result of this Macbeth was rewarded by Duncan the king and made the Thane of Cawdor. ... So now it seems the king is doing the same thing with Macbeth, putting trust in him.
Yet with Macbeth’s ambition he wont let the life of a king or anyone else get in his way and he his willing to do anything to achieve it, which includes killing. ...
But you wonder if Macbeth’s ambition would have ever been realised if he had not come across the witches, who had informed him that he would become king. ...
It was only when “chastised by valour” of Lady Macbeth was he persuaded to murder Duncan.
Lady Macbeth though out the play has had a strong will yet all her ambition is for her husband. ... Like when Duncan is murdered Macbeth over plays his cover up. ... Therefore Lady Macbeth faints to draw attention away from her husband.
