... In her novel Jane Eyre, she explores the actions of the upper class members towards people considered of low standard. Through her main character Jane Eyre, Bronte expresses her thoughts and views from that of an individual considered lower than low. In this book, Bronte uses Jane to get across her point that there were social injustices and double standards during the Victorian era.
In the Novel Jane Eyre, Bronte begins to inform her audience of Jane’s standings in society. Jane is a 10-year-old Orphan living with an indifferent aunt. Penniless, Jane faces criticism from both her cousins, and the servants of the house. Although Jane is family, she is still treated like uncommon filth. ... Although Jane is young, she is still considered a burden on society. After a minor discrepancy, Jane’s Aunt sends her away to a charitable school and thus rids herself of Jane finally. Made to feel inadequate and useless, Jane quickly adjusts to the condition of being treated as an inferior, which is to affect her way of thinking in her future as an adult. Bronte exposes the social injustice of the class system by emphasizing the wicked treatment of Jane in her childhood in order to open up the eyes and hearts of readers in order for them to recognize those unjust factors.
As Jane matures, those “factors” are still a part of her reality. ... Even though she has, come up the social ladder Jane is still treated substandardly. In addition, in this book Jane falls in love with her master Mr.
