John Rae is one of the for mest Pioneers of Arctic explorations, yet his name is hardly ever heard of. ... John Rae was one of the most sucessful and knowledgelbe men of the Victorian age in terms of Arctic explorations. Rae went on four Arctic expeditions resulting major discoveries in all three, this paper will disscuss his exploration of the Arctic and how he revolutionized exploration of the Arctic. John Rae was truely a pioneer in every aspect of the word and this paper is designed to give people a better understanding of his work and why he is not looked as a hero of Arctic exploration when so many lesser men where.
