CHARLIE BUCKET
In the novel Charlie and the Chocolate Factory written by Roald Dahl, the character of Charlie Bucket is very much constructed as a nice, kind, friendly, giving person who is willing to sacrifice something of his own to give to someone else who needs it more. ...
We can find out a lot about Charlie Bucket through what he says. ... There is also another example of Charlie being portrayed as a nice guy through his speech is when Charlie is given his only birthday present, which is a Whipple-Scrumptious Fudge Mellow
Delight Wonka chocolate bar and he simply offers it around and says “ Here, mother, have a bit. ... 45) This is especially important because he loves chocolate more than anything else in the world and giving up his only bar he gets each year is a huge sacrifice for Charlie to make. There is also the fact that even though this chocolate bar is the only present he receives all year he is still willing to share it with his whole family, and I think this shows a very strong message that Charlie is an extremely giving person.
These two examples are ways the Author has used dialogue to portray Charlie as a kind, friendly person who is ultimately a nice guy.
