I want to teach. I want to inspire children to learn, to explore and challenge concepts and ideas. For as long as I can remember it is what I have wanted to do, with my earliest experience being working in a primary school as part of a Year 10 Community Project. After 18 months of experience working in schools, across a number of work experience placements, I have found teaching to be a challenging, yet very rewarding job. Even the long hours, extensive preparation and endless paperwork have failed to deter me from what I know is the right career for me! Having trained as a Learning Support Assistant within the Learning Development Department of an outer London secondary school, I have worked with children with social, behavioural and learning difficulties and I have gained knowledge of educational policies, strategies and teaching practices, e.g.
